To help you get a great 3D experience, use our checklist below to ensure that you have everything you need. If you have any questions or want to learn more about 3D, we invite you to visit 3D 101--our center for everything 3D. To get started with 3D, please ensure that you have: A Display The first--and most important--item you'll need is a 3D-ready display--whether it be a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays usually have a higher processing power than older models as they need to display one image for each eye to create a 3D effect. A Source While your display is ready for 3D playback, you still need a device to read 3D content (i.e., a movie or a show). This source can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3. Content In order to watch 3D, you will need to get some 3D content. This 3D content will come from the source mentioned above in the form of a 3D program, movie, or game. Please ensure that your 3D movies are in the Blu-ray 3D format, as this new format will provide the best 3D experience. 3D Glasses All 3D HDTVs on the market require Active Shutter glasses to create the 3D effect. You will need to buy one pair of glasses for each viewer. Also make sure that the Active Shutter glasses you buy are compatible with your display--for example, buy the glasses from the same brand as your 3D HDTV. HDMI Cable To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a hgh-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation--with bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second)--will be able to carry the 3D signal without any loss of quality. Amazing 3D HDTV with tgoldtechie of these other types of sets in several months for the family. surprisingly there were very few reviews on 55wx800u - none at CNET and other major review sites. because my family loves Toshiba (3 generations of family Toshiba purchase), we decided to take the plunge on this TV. reasonably priced, with a range of options to customize images on your TV if you want to change. Otherwise, you can choose between some presets comfortable. Overall, the color is vivid, it's all very interesting - an elegant, professional but not overly done like some other sets. Before this TV, we had S2 Panasonic 42 "plasma TV (which has replaced a 53" Toshiba projection TV) in the family room that I would try a number of non plasma toshiba plasma. Panay happy, we were torn to both Panasonic 54vt 3DTV or this set. Prices were right - but the Internet was not built for the Panay plasma consumes much more than this set. The 3D glasses that came with the Toshiba are far more comfortable than those who came to Panay. well, no comment, and only based on my experience with Toshiba's family, who bought this TV. We are very happy and I believe all the talk about blooms, turbidity, flash lighting, which comes with an edge-lit set if it is exaggerated or Toshiba has done an excellent job overcoming these problems. quickly note a few things, wireless Internet connection was fine and the widgets are very cool. An update system which takes about 5 minutes - so make sure you update your system. Also at the foot attach to the TV, said slide and lock ... I it's a bit confusing and customer service was not very useful - just drag and flat so that the two tabs on the slide in support for two openings on the back of the TV - not to press so you don 'down to in something the castle Toshiba customer service (which apparently were never one of those things together) still wanted to hit I put a real consideration here, because this is the default. If you have questions, turn. I'm also in a few months to update the reliability. oh, finally, do not buy at JR.com - says its policy is that they open the package and a little "protective materials" - the set arrived broken - and. I refused the package through and reorganized amazon.com and they sent the package "boxed" and it was fine. 75 of 76 customers found this review helpful. For exceptional cdew002 SELECTION: I was on the market for a new TV, but I was not going to get a 3D-TV, until I the sale, including the Amazon, Blu-ray player and glasses for $ 1,299 seen. Too good to miss and would come close to that of a conventional LED / LCD TVs in all cases, there were some sales of Samsung and Panasonic, but I chose Toshiba. Television was replaced 3.5 years 50 "Toshiba DLP HD. There was a good product, so he decided to exercise a little brand loyalty. In addition, since Toshiba is one of the last" big "manufacturers publish their 3D TV has I probably .. best picture, because they had more time to perfect their technique, it can be a real logic, but it worked for me there was almost no comment when I bought the TV, so I kept my fingers crossed SHIPPING:. I, as a small child waiting for this to come to me - though I have it in 5 days, which seemed like an eternity The box had a gaping hole in it (looked like it had been expelled) and the back of the TV had a small dent self. signed with the recognition that was dented as if it did not work, I could return it. These things are shipped via freight, and freight is known to be hard on the packages of the tooth does not bother me (if working), so I took him home. SETUP: I got home, took it out of the box. This is thin! It is also surprisingly strong (but not much.
