Cohen This TV is very good and could have been greater if not for the Internet experience of shit. The form factor itself is quite nice, very thin, lightweight and sturdy with a thin frame. It sets very quickly and easily. The HD picture is stunning: beautiful color, very strong with very black blacks. But images are often blurred and washed SD SD makes it seem a little boring. My 3 year old 32 inch Sony SD is much better than that. The viewing angle is just fine. Looking ahead, the TV looks great. As you move to one side is rapidly degraded images. At first I thought the sound was below average. After adjusting the settings now sounds great. If you are a lover of music and still requires an amplifier with separate speakers. I have not had a problem with the rate of 60 Hz refresh. I think it could be something of a problem if I saw more sports, the Internet interface that is the weakness of this TV. I 40EX523 with built-in Wi-Fi. No need for a separate dongle. Load times for most Internet applications is very slow - much slower than my beloved Roku box. Netflix interface is very bad. You can not search and it is still difficult for many of the titles of the films on the screen because they are so small. Netflix sony picture is much worse than the Netflix Roku box. Colors on the Sony Netflix is a bit washed out and the picture is not sharp. Sony picture on both Hulu and Amazon seems almost as good as the Roku. Weather interfaces for both Hulu and Amazon is much worse than the Roku. Crackle is not even worth using. It takes forever to load, then reload continue despite the high-speed Internet download. It's almost impossible to go back to where you left a movie. It works so bad that I'm surprised that Sony in the first place, the work better or get rid of it. I would recommend buying this TV without Internet connectivity (40EX520) and do not bother with the internet dongle heavily overpriced. Do yourself a favor and buy a Roku box for $ 79 and use it for streaming TV shows and movies. It is far superior to anything Sony has to offer on this TV. Sony engineers have to study the Roku box and the interface to learn and use to improve this offer Internet pathetic. That is not the Internet, it's really a very good TV, satisfactory. 17 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Loaded with features ... with room for improvement Dane A. Kantner In general this is a very good TV. It is very thin. One of the biggest draws for me, was built in Internet Apps. I would have returned a Vizio where nothing worked at all (literally fell from Pandora TV) and got it. That's much better. I tested a few other TV App Internet and the speed of the Sony one is probably faster than I go as far as navigation and the menu is designed to look good. For some people it might almost too many functions. The Pandora app works well. There is much room for improvement, as it is actually designed (there are color codes in the menu, and connect them with a function - jump - why not a partner with a thumbs up, thumbs down, etc.). Not a good visual effects. But it works, what it is - playing music. The tips Qriocity video did not work. I've never played anything about them or even play a selection of articles seen. I do not know what's going on, but I understand that Sony has recently hacked and completely stopped the service so far. It can not be there. The Amazon on-demand streaming works very well and is of high quality. If you are a member of Amazon Prime is a fairly large selection of titles that become free when you authenticate with your main account (the entire series.
