All of your personal photos, videos, movies, music, and watch / listen to a button. Remote control included (mini-keyboard) is good, but it will take some time to get used to. I tried to MKV, JPG, AVI, BMP, MP3 and works well. Sometimes it is accepted, but that's good, we can not expect powerful processor for less than $ 200. Do not try Netflix. But for the web browser-based, only you can not read the text and letters are very small. PROS: 1. A 2 TB hard drive. It runs almost all formats with ease 3. Resistant to starting and running speeds 4. You can transfer music and photos at the same time 5. Among other Wi-Fi USB, which is good if your home network settings. 6. 7 HDMI cable is included. Joystick (Player Control Pad) is impressive when you look on YouTube or search. 8. Can work for old TV sets with composite AV cable 9 pretty fast when copying files on the hard disk. Aug. 8 people found the following review helpful bad ... T. Vogel easy installation program. Firmware upgraded and connected via Ethernet. Netflix has worked well, but I bought it for streaming video from my PC. Some files work ... but stopped more than what is considered acceptable ... others were not compatible - even when the formats were in the box (and Iomega's website) as playable formats. The remote control was horrible. Sometimes you hit the center button of the directional pad to select something, sometimes not - and is much smaller than the photos displayed. I'm not a technophobe at all and was really hoping this would work as advertised ... Unfortunately not. I sold it and wait for something better ... though I'm about to go to Boxee box. I had thought to consider Iomega TV with Boxee (desktop box is not available), but with how this product Iomega let me down, I do not think I'll go that route. If all you want to do is download at Netflix or watch DivX files to your hard drive and watch them, this unit can meet you no more than that most likely will not disappoint ... 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Nice hardware let down by disappointing Software by Glenn R. Howes, I was delighted to take delivery of this product. I have my old HDTV banished to the basement and the duty of the media player had promised, and delivered on the amount of content that I could supply. In particular, I needed a Netflix player and a player that can handle high-definition terrestrial recordings MythTV on my Linux server (and delivered via the UPnP AV protocol). And preferably do it without too much wasted standby power. So yes, the hardware proved perfectly capable of 720p and 1080i MPEG2 video streams to play and put on the Dolby Digital Toslink optical port. And it has a Netflix player. Indeed, upgraded his Netflix player over the weekend with some organizational improvements, and he logged into my Pandora music account, and have several other players apps for online services.
